Rear fuselage skins 10 hrs

It has been a couple of weeks since i have been able to get any work done with the holidays. Finally was able to get back to work! The past two days I installed the side skins and the lower longeron angles. The plans call for an angle to be bent on the lower skins. In talking to other builders, many are substituting an angle for the flange. I opted that route. I also installed the bottoms skin between f6 and f8

Rear fuselage. 4 hours

Today I spent a lot of time getting the rear fuselage straight, level and the f12 bulkhead plumb and square. With the splice in the longerons between f9 and f10 there was a slight dogleg in the longerons. I didn't realize this until I started putting a couple of bulkheads in place and seen that the centerline of the bulkhead wasn't lining up with the centerline of the table. Me and a friend pulled string lines and got everything where it needed to be. I cut one of my side skins and drilled the holes in the skin for the longerons. I clamped it in place and started to put my bulkhead tops and one side in place. Next I will mark the location of the sides of the bulkheads and drill the skins is the coresponding location

Control stick assembly 2 hours

The last two nights I have worked on the stick assembly. I had my parts welded at work and took them to a buddy with a milling machine. We drilled out the two 5/8 holes then milled out the area between them. Then we drilled the 3/16 hole that serves as the pivot point. My bushing came in today so we drilled the horizontal part of the stick assembly to 19/64(1/64 under the size of the bushing). We pressed the bushing into the hole then reamed the ID to 3/16 and filed the bushing down to the pipe. Very happy with how all of this turned out! Thanks Greg!

The last two nights, I cut the angles, drilled the bending holes and bent the lower longerons offsets and fabbed the attachment angles. I drilled the attachment angles and bolts them to the lower front longerons. I need to come up with a countersink bit now to countersink the screws that attach the attachment angles to the lower front longerons. I also cut the remaining form blocks for the fuselage bulkheads. All of my fuselage bulkhead forming blocks are now cut.
